Anne Curtis will stay a Kapamilya as she signed a two-year exclusive contract with ABS-CBN yesterday, November 29. “It always makes me so happy whenever I sign a contract because it goes to show how long your working relationship will be with the company. And I have to say this is my first two-year contract with ABS-CBN,” Anne shared.
Anne is one of the Kapamilya stars who have been rumored transferring to another network. “I know that there’s a lot of controversies, but I’ll be here for two more years. I’ve always said naman na basta nandiyan ang Showtime, I will stay with ABS-CBN.”
Her dad, James Curtis-Smith, travelled all the way from Pampanga to attend her contract signing. “It makes me really happy to see my dad proud kasi he sees all my achievements in the 14 years of my stay in the industry.”
Anne considers this year the most bountiful with blessings for her. She said that she is content as she has achieved everything she wants in her career. “The later part of 2011, it was such an amazing, whirlwind part of my life, sobrang saya ako and grateful. I always tell people na wala na akong hihilingin pa, lahat na yata ng pwedeng gawin ng isang artista nagawa ko na. Parang napaka-selfish ko naman to ask for more. I am happy and content with everything that is happening in my life now. Ang saya-saya ko, nagawa ko na lahat—princess, mermaid, other woman— Yung mga off-beat so now, I am just waiting for anything that falls into my lap kasi I’ve never been the type naman na kailangan ganito, kailangan ganyan na roles.”
Meanwhile, Anne confirmed that her first major solo concert is in the works and will happen “very early next year”. “Abangan niyo na lang ang announcement coming soon. Last Sunday I was supposed to announce it in ASAP, kaya lang dahil may voice problem ako, na-move. Then next week we’ll be in Dubai for Showtime so I have to wait again when to announce it at either Showtime or ASAP. I think may hints na kasi may mga nagtwi-tweet na sa akin na mga fans, I think it is not a big secret na.”
