For his 54th birthday this year, Boy Abunda received a promise of a Mediterranean cruise from his best friend Kris Aquino. Last year, Kris gave him boxes of signature personal care products that would last him for many years. “Just the other day, she went to Paul Smith (store) and she bought me sandals, shirts… She goes to the store and she buys me pairs of pants; she shops for me. She really is the little sister I never had,” Boy explained.

Bukod kay Kris, dumating din ang panganay na anak ni President Cory na si Ballsy Cruz, ang mister ni Kris na si James Yap at anak nila na si baby James. “I’m very touched that they thought of this, that Phillip Stein had wanted to do something for mom and ano kasi, I admire Phillip Stein so much because they give the Philippines so much importance and I think the brand is doing well in our country because they’ve become part of our culture as well. Doon ako naging appreciative sa kanila,” simula ni Kris.
Gone were those days when wise men would warn about the Ides of March because today March is a hot, merry month when students mark the culmination of years of hard work. March is “graduation” month. And even if it’s a happy occasion, Graduation Day almost always comes with tears or at the very least, a sigh. Students get emotional because as a new chapter in their life begins, they leave behind a lot of memories.
