James, Kris ‘meet in middle’ for son

MANILA, Philippines — Estranged husband and wife James Yap and Kris Aquino reached a compromise agreement on Friday regarding their son Baby James.
Basketball star Yap was allowed three days (including one overnight) weekly with his and television host-actress Aquino’s son.
However, he was disallowed from bringing the child to his hometown in Escalante, Negros.
The agreement was reached at Friday’s closed-door meeting between the couple and their respective lawyers at the Makati Regional Trial Court’s Branch 140 under Judge Cristina Javellana-Sulit.
The session was spurred by Yap’s motion seeking rights to visit his son.
“We came to a compromise agreement, for the benefit of Baby James,” Aquino said without answering other questions.
