Jason Francisco denies ever being a playboy

Pinoy Big Brother Double Up love team Jason Francisco and Melai Cantiveros continue to enjoy a romance outside of Kuya’s house, as documented daily on their reality show Melason Promdi Heart. To mark their second monthsary as a couple and also to give something for Melai on her birthday, Jason bought a necklace with a picture of them placed inside a locket. Jason said he wanted to give Melai something that will forever remind her of their love for one another. “Nabigay ko na sa kanya ‘yung regalo ko na ‘yun. Naisip ko tapos pinagawa ko sa kaibigan ko. Gusto ko na may kwintas siyang locket na may picture naming dalawa. Para pang matagalan na. Memorable na ‘yung regalo.”
Jason may have the looks and moves of a playboy, but he said that he has never thought about toying with a woman’s emotions. That’s why upon giving the necklace to Melai, he said he really felt the seriousness of his relationship with her. “Ramdam ko talaga na napaka-importante niya sa akin. First time ko talaga nagawa ‘yung ganito para sa isang babae. Hindi ko lubos maisip na makakagawa ako ng ganito. Hindi ko na naisip ‘yung hirap. Basta nagagawa ko na lang. Seryoso naman talaga ako pagdating sa pag-ibig. Ang ganyang bagay hindi dapat ginagawang biro. Nagiging ma-drama nga ako minsan e. Pero ‘yung mga niligawan ako dati parang akala nila nambobola lang ako.”
After the necklace, could Jason’s next gift to Melai be an engagement ring? The young man from Mindoro said he needs to save up before he can afford an expensive ring. “Nakakita ako ng singsing. Bibilhin ko na sana. Kaya lang napakamahal! 65 thousand, 85 thousand. Naku po! Sa susunod na lang. Maganda naman kasi, may diamante. Gusto ko siyang bilhan talaga ng ganun. Pero siguro kapag nakaipon na ako ng ganun. Kahit ano ibibigay ko sa kanya siyempre. Saka na ‘yung singsing. Magpatayo muna ako ng bahay sa amin sa Mindoro.”
During his homecoming to Mindoro, Jason was able to introduce Melai to his family. He shared that his cousins were all fond of the bubbly lady from General Santos City. Jason already met Melai’s parents, and in one of their conversations, he was given one piece of advice. “Ang isang advice lang naman sa akin ng Nanay Virginia e i-respeto ko si Isay. Kung ano respeto ang meron ako sa kanila ‘yun din ang dapat ibigay ko kay Isay. Siyempre ‘yun talaga ang gagawin ko. Nakikita kami ng mga tao madalas nagaasaran, kulitan lang. Pero ang totoo talaga pinapahalagahan namin ang isa’t isa.”
