MANILA, Philippines - Philippine teenage pop sensation Charice is set to be featured in 4 famous US magazines after bagging a role on Glee's second season. The teen singing sensation was in New York for 3 days for a series of interviews with Rolling Stone, US Magazine, and Seventeen.
Charice will also be in Los Angeles next week for a photo shoot for Teen Vogue Magazine, which has invited her to be its featured artist in its next issue. "Lagi kong naiisip na parang eto na, parang panibagong pinto na bubuksan. Hindi lang ako, iyong ibang mga Filipino na pumapasok din sa international [scene], para magbigay naman po ng chance sa iba namang napaka-talented na Filipino sa Pilipinas at dito rin po," the teen Filipino singer said in an interview. The pop star princess said she was a little nervous during her interviews, but said she was excited to tell these magazines her life story. "Ma-fi-feel mo talagang na-a-apreciate nila 'yung mga kuwento. Sinasabi nila na parang minsan na parang kakaiba ang story mo, kaya gusto po nilang i-feature," she said. Glee shoot In her Twitter account, Charice tweeted "Bye New York, Going to Macao now." She was off to Macao for some private performances. She will return to the United States for her first taping for Glee on July 29. "Na-e-excite ako na kinakabahan kasi po I know naman na mababait sila pero hindi ko pa talaga na-e-experience. Excited ako na ma-meet sila. Excited din po ako na maging part din nila, pero at the same time kinakabahan ako kasi first ever like, kakaibang acting," she said. Charice said she has not yet received her first script for Glee, but said Warner Brothers has been very supportive of her. "Binigyan nga po nila ako ng vocal coach, Broadway po na vocal coach. Binigyan din po ako ng mga teachers po for acting, for accent para po sa English," she added. On July 24, Charice is also scheduled to guest again on Star King, the Korean TV show that sparked her international career. Charice's performance at Star King was featured on YouTube, which caught the eye of popular TV host Ellen Degeneres. She flew to the US for the first time for a one-on-one talk with Degeneres on her top-rating show.
