Controversial actress-endorser Gretchen Barretto denied reports that she is pregnant with her second child by long-time live-in partner business tycoon Antonio "Tonyboy" Cojuanco.
Barretto made the denial in a conversation with columnist and entertainment host Cristy Fermin.
"Let them feast on the issue anyway mapapahiya din naman sila," Barretto told Fermin.
In DZMM's entertainment program "Showbiz Mismo," co-host Jobert Sucaldito said that Barretto's pregnancy is said to be the latest controversy that the actress is facing right now, after the much-publicized 'credit card' issue that she clarified last Sunday, July 6 over the weekly entertainment show "The Buzz." In an interview with "The Buzz", Barretto talked about her credit card that was supposedly returned to her due to lack of funds.
Barretto said the report was exaggerated. She said her credit card was not out of funds but merely developed a problem on its magnetic strip.
"[Magnetic strip] lang [naman ang problema], sinabi nila naputulan. May ine-edit sila sa kwento, may dinadagdag," explained Barretto.
The report said Barretto invited her sister Marjorie, friends Ruffa Gutierrez, Pops Fernandez and a certain Josie to dine in a restaurant at Dusit Hotel in Makati on Sunday, June 15.
After the dinner, Barretto offered to pay the bill but the restaurant's cashier declined to honor her credit card. To put an end to the problem, Gutierrez volunteered to pay the bill amounting to P4,300.
