Wowowee host Willie Revillame has been absent from the noontime show for three days now, a result of his controversial rift with The Buzz host and radio commentator Jobert Sucaldito. The two have been at odds with each other for some time, leading Willie to threaten to resign if ABS-CBN management does not fire Jobert. As previously reported on ABS-CBN.com, Willie was fed up with all the negative feedback that Jobert has been allegedly throwing his way. And as of press time, he remains firm with his previous statement that, “Kung hindi ni’yo ‘yan (referring to Jobert) tinanggal, ako ang magre-resign dito sa Wowowee. Tandaan ni’yo ‘yan.”

Although his hosting stint on Wowowee has been his bread and butter for many years now, Willie claims that he’s not scared to become jobless with all his accomplishments to back him up. “Natatakot ka ba mawalan ng trabaho? ‘Pag magaling ka, may bilib ka sa sarili mo, at mabuti kang tao, ‘wag ka matakot, may kukuha sa’yo. Dapat ganon ang prinsipyo sa buhay. Ba’t kayo matatakot? Isa lang ba ang channel?” he confidently said in his latest interview with TV Patrol. “I mean what I say,” he added.

As to the truth behind Willie’s indefinite leave of absence from Wowowee, the creators of the show maintain that he is merely taking a much-needed rest.
